Organ Lessons

For beginners I recommend weekly 30 minute lessons; more advanced students and adults may benefit from 45 or 60 minute lessons.

My recommended minimum age for starting organ lessons is 12 years. This is based on expected physical development compared with the requirements of the instrument. There is no upper age limit!

I would also recommend attaining a standard of approximately Grade 5 on the piano before taking on the extra challenges of the organ.

Anyone receiving lessons must have access to a suitable instrument on which to practise. A local church may be able to help with this and I am happy to advise, should there be any difficulty.

Fees

Music tuition is charged at an hourly rate of £38.50

Lessons are either 30, 45 or 60 minutes and are charged pro rata:

30 minutes: £19.25

45 minutes: £28.88

60 minutes: £38.50

If tuition is delivered in your home, travelling time is charged pro rata at £20 per hour.

Lessons are paid for in advance, at the start of each term or other block of lessons (normally ten lessons per term/block).
